Which is more effective when you compare aerobic and anaerobic exercise to dieting?

Each person talking has a different story, so I don't know which one is right~

pu1. If it's for weight loss, isn't aerobic exercise right?

pu2. My trainer at the gym told me to do cardio for half an hour and then do other exercises if I'm on a diet

pu3. In theory, aerobic exercise consumes energy during exercise. Anaerobic exercise increases the basal metabolic rate and consumes more energy during the break. So it's good to do anaerobic exercise for a short time and rest well for a diet. If you want to lose weight through aerobic exercise, it's hard to exercise for a long time because it takes a long time to work out
