How is LASIK and LASEK different?
Please let me know the difference

pu1. As you know, LASIK is the most widely known surgical method among vision correction and proceeds in the following order.
1. Cut the top of the cornea horizontally with a knife or laser to make a lid (corneal fragment).
2. Open the lid and peel the corneal substance underneath with a laser.
3. Cover the lid.
LASEK is done in the following order
1. Peel off corneal epithelium with alcohol or a brush. Corneal epithelium grows back a few days after surgery.
2. Peel the cornea with a laser.
3. Cover the temporary protective contact lenses. It also covers hard lenses and takes them off when the corneal epithelium grows again.

pu2. LASEK is more painful than LASIK, but if I were to compare it to being painful, toothache is so painful that it can be said to go away lol There is no painless LASEK, but it is not 100% painless

pu3. The stability of eye correction hasn't been verified yet. You can see that Dr. Itaewon, the chairman of the review committee of the Korean Ophthalmology Association, is also wearing glasses

pu4. LASEK's vision recovery is slower than LASIK's. It usually takes three to four weeks and a few months for your eyesight to recover

pu5. LASIK recovers faster than LASEK surgery, but it usually takes about two to three days to recover. It's cheaper than LASEK

pu6. Advantages of LASIK
1. It is less painful than LASEK surgery because it cuts the deep part of the cornea
2. Recovery is faster than LASEK surgery. You can recover in two to three days
3. It's cheaper than other vision correction techniques
The downside of LASIK
1. The corneal segment may be pushed due to intense exercise. You have to go to the ophthalmologist and cover it back in place with pain like sand in your eyes.
2. Dry eye syndrome is likely to worsen because the sensory nerves distributed in the cornea are not reconnected or recovered after being cut in the process of making a corneal segment
3. Both the thickness corresponding to the corneal fragment and the thickness to be peeled with a laser are required, so surgery cannot be performed if the corneal thickness is thin.
4. There is a limit to the calibration vision.
5. Small eyes make surgery impossible.
Advantages of Lasek
1. The corneal segment may be pushed due to intense exercise. You have to go to the ophthalmologist and cover it back in place with pain like sand in your eyes.
2. Dry eye syndrome is likely to worsen because the sensory nerves distributed in the cornea are not reconnected or recovered after being cut in the process of making corneal segments.
3. Both the thickness corresponding to the corneal fragment and the thickness to be peeled with a laser are required, so surgery cannot be performed if the corneal thickness is thin.
4. There is a limit to the calibration vision.
5. Small eyes make surgery impossible.
Lasek's Disadvantages
1. The pain is very severe as the treatment is performed on corneal epithelium where pain cells are concentrated. This is related to temperature, and although painless lasek has been developed to cool down in the middle of the procedure, painless does not mean that there is 100% no pain, and the degree of pain varies greatly from person to person.
2. Compared to other vision correction procedures, vision recovery is very late. Usually, it takes 3 to 4 weeks for vision to recover and sometimes takes months. Therefore, there is an inconvenience of having to wear glasses or sunglasses for a quite long time even after the procedure.
3. Corneal opacity may occur during the recovery process if the amount of cutting is large. The corneal epithelium is a part that recovers by cell proliferation, and it is fortunate that it is regenerated, but if the cut part is not regenerated in general, and if it is regenerated abnormally, it leads to corneal opacity and is blind. Normal regeneration is not possible at the discretion of the doctor, but the self-sustaining power of the cell, so the surgeon cannot expect it. If corneal opacity occurs, there is no other way to recover than corneal transplantation. However, corneal opacity can be treated by injecting drugs in the early stages of occurrence. To prevent this, M-Lasek, which uses mitomycin (a type of anticancer drug used for cancer) that inhibits cell proliferation during surgery, has been developed.
4. In the case of astigmatism, the recovery period takes longer. Besides, if it's not early astigmatism, it's
