How should I dress when I travel to tropical areas in winter?

I'm planning to travel to Thailand, but it must be hot there, but it's cold in Korea.

I thought I'd only take my luggage there in winter clothes.

What did you all wear?

pu1. I just wore enough inside and covered it with a padded jacket. I didn't know if it was cold because I got on and off the bus quickly.
