Is there a special price for a flight ticket with a 6 month difference between departure and entry?

I'm going to the U.S. for 6 months because I'm going as an exchange student. So I have to pay for departure and entry for at least 6 months, but there's nothing cheap like this. I was wondering if the special price would be released. Is there a way to buy it cheaply?
