Macarons are supposed to be chewy?

It's my first time eating macarons and I bought 10 of them.

I bought them from a famous place, but I think they'll have a crispy texture.

It feels chewy and moist after a bite, so it's not my type.

Is this the original texture?

Or is it different for each macaron shop?
