How to make sharing laptop and desktop data easy

I usually work outside on my laptop and when I get home, I work on a desktop with a big screen instead of a laptop.

I get data from my laptop by usb or email it to my desktop every time.

This is quite uncomfortable, is there a way to make it more comfortable?
