I was wondering how the tax would be calculated if it was over 600 dollars at the duty-free shop.

For example, if you buy $1000, you can't get tax exemption because it's over $600.

1000-600=400, do you only calculate more than $600?

Or because $1000 is over $600, I don't know which is the right way
