Does attendance rate affect grades a lot when taking university classes?

I missed one class because I had work, but I don't know what will happen

pu1. I don't know because each professor is different. Among the classes I take, there was a subject where I got an F if I was absent seven times, but it was also a unique case and it didn't affect my grades much once or twice
