Which hair extension vs. recovery perm would be good?

After bleaching my hair many times, my hair became a cornbeard lol. So I'm thinking about what to do...

1 Cut your hair short and put extensions

2 Do a recovery perm

I want to choose between the two, which one would be good?

I don't think a short hair without a perm would be pretty just to try a short hair.
