Cons of thrifty phone

I can transfer to a thrifty phone because the contract is over, but the fare is cheap, so I'm thinking about transferring.

I'm not sure about the disadvantages because there are too many advertisements than the disadvantages, but what's the disadvantage of a thrifty phone?
