When upgrading PC for graphic work, what should I upload first?

I'm a freelance designer, but the PC is a little slow these days, so I'm thinking of upgrading because I don't think I'm going to buy a new one, but I don't know what to upgrade first.

Does SSD improve the performance a lot?
