Can I get a refund or exchange if I buy shoes on the Internet?

I bought Adidas Superstar on the Internet, but when I tried it on, the shoes were too big, so I wanted to exchange or refund it, but when I opened them and wore them, they were big. I didn't wear them outside, but I just tried them to wear them at home.
