Side effects of e-cigarettes

My husband smokes indoors because it's an e-cigarette and he says it's okay because it's not harmful, but it's hard to stand the smell alone.

Is an e-cigarette really harmless?

Is there any side effects?

pu1. The harmful substances have decreased a lot, but they are not 0% at all. As far as I know, it's about 10 percent compared to regular cigarettes
