I got a watch as a gift, but it's not expensive. It's just a fashion watch.

I was wondering if it was an automatic or a quartz. How can I tell if it was an automatic or a quartz?

Can you tell by the appearance?

pu1. You can distinguish it by the sound of a clock, but when you listen to it with your ear on it, the second hand ticks and you hear the clock spinning, it's quartz. Automatics don't hear that, but it sounds like it's passing by
