I heard that there are calipers and rotors in the car brakes, so I was wondering what it was like.
Brake pads are cheap, but rotors and calipers are expensive. What are you talking about?

pu1. in simple terms There's a brake pad in the caliper, and the rotor is attached to the wheel. When the brake is applied, the caliper sticks to the rotor, and the brake pads actually stick to the rotor, creating a frictional force, which activates the brake
