Can it be bad for your phone if you use a portable battery?

It's only been a year since I used my cell phone, but the battery runs out faster than when I first bought it...

I heard that it can happen if you use a portable battery often, is that true?

pu1. There is a limit to charging and discharging any battery, but since I use my cell phone a lot enough to use an auxiliary battery, I think I must have charged and discharged quite a lot. In that case, I used it well in about a year.
